Pretty simple stuff. Just don't be a jerk and we'll all get along fine. Breaking these will get you warned, muted, or banned depending on how bad it is.
You need to be 16 or older to use DogChat. If we find out you're under 16, your account will be removed. No exceptions.
Treat people the way you'd want to be treated. No harassment, bullying, or personal attacks. Disagreements are fine, being mean isn't.
Zero tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any kind of discrimination. This isn't up for debate.
Keep it clean. No sexual content, gore, or anything you wouldn't want to see on your screen at work. This includes profile pictures and bios.
Don't flood the chat with repeated messages, walls of text, or random gibberish. One message gets the point across just fine.
Don't use DogChat to promote your stuff, drop invite links, or advertise anything. Nobody came here for that.
Don't share anyone's personal information. Not yours, not theirs. Phone numbers, addresses, real names if they don't want them shared, none of it.
Don't pretend to be someone you're not, whether that's another user, an admin, or anyone else. Pick your own name and own it.
Threats of violence, even as "jokes," aren't funny and aren't allowed. Don't do it.
Reports are there for a reason. Don't file fake reports to mess with people. If you abuse it, you'll be the one getting banned.
If you got banned, that's on you. Making a new account to get around it will just get both accounts banned.
Global chat is for everyone. If you're having a long private conversation, take it to DMs so you're not drowning out everyone else.
If you find a bug, report it. Don't exploit it to mess with the app or other users. We'll fix it and you'll get a thank you instead of a ban.
If an admin tells you to stop doing something, stop. They're not doing it for fun. Arguing about it in chat just makes it worse.
You get one account. That's it. Don't make a bunch of alts for no reason. If you need a name change just ask.
We can't write a rule for every possible situation. If something feels like it's probably not okay, it probably isn't. Just be cool.
